EcoWrap 100

Sustainable Composite Technology: Lowering Environmental Impact without Compromising Performance

EcoWrap 100: Pushing Pipe Repairs to a greener future

EcoWrap 100 is at the forefront of sustainable composite technology. It utilises a two-component epoxy "bio" resin system that, once mixed, has a plant-based chemical content of ~27%.

The performance of our EcoWrap 100 composite system is not at all compromised. It uses the same chemicals as "normal" epoxy resins, except the chemicals are derived from plant-based sources rather than petrochemical sources.

EcoWrap 100 combines our high performance bio-resin with a glass fibre quad axial fabric. This consists of four layers positioned in four different orientations, 0°/90°/+45°/-45°. This ensures that no matter the geometry of the pipework our the fibres in our EcoWrap 100 composite system are closely aligned to the hoop direction for maximum pressure retention.

ISO 24817:2017 & ASME PCC-2:2022 Certified Composite Repair Systems

Applications: A sustainable composite with all the benefit of equivalent systems

EcoWrap 100 is a wet layup epoxy composite repair system. This highly specialised composite repair system is specifically designed for pipe, tank and structural repairs for Heavy Industry. The composite repair system has been rigorously tested to both ISO 24817 & ASME PCC-2 and found to exceed the requirements of both international standards.

As part of the testing to ISO 24817 & ASME PCC-2, EcoWrap 100 was tested on both non-leaking leaking defects. On a 6" pipe spool with a defect machined to leave 1mm of remaining wall thickness. Multiple leaking defects were tested on 10mm, 15mm and 25mm holes.
