Water-activated Resin Technology: Restore the Structural Integrity of Subsea & Splash Zone Pipes
Oceanus 142 is a pre-impregnated water-activated polyurethane fibreglass composite pipe repair material. It utilises water activated resin making it suitable for subsea, splash zone, topside or onshore repair.
A working time of 30-40 minutes provides enough time for application subsea. Oceanus 142 provides rapid and easy repair to both leaking and non-leaking defects.
Repairs can be made in under 30 minutes to pipes made of a range of different substrates, including: carbon steel, stainless steel, CuNiFe, Iron, GRP.
Easy application: Oceanus 142 is pre-impregnated and ready to apply right out of the packaging.
High strength repair: Oceanus 142 has a tensile strength of 290MPa.
Onshore repairs: Oceanus 142 is perfectly suited for onshore repairs. Simply spray the composite with water during application to initiate curing.
Splash Zone & Subsea repairs: Being water activated makes Oceanus 142 the perfect option for Splash Zone & Subsea repairs.
High chemical resistance: Impervious to most fuels, chemicals and solvents.
At Icarus Composites, we make sure to test our Composite Materials to the most stringent industrial standards ensuring we deliver the highest quality composite pipe and tank repairs possible.
Oceanus 142 is qualified to ASME PCC-2 and found to exceed the requirements.
Substrates: Metals, Concrete & GRP
Pipe diameters from <15mm to large diameter tanks
Suitable for Subsea and Splash Zone repairs
Complex geometries such as valves and flanges
Temperatures up to 122°C
Oceanus 142 is perfectly suited to a wide range of industries and applications.
With a tensile strength of 290 MPa (42,076 psi) and bonding well to a range of substrates, Oceanus 142 is effective at restoring the structural integrity of leaking and corroded pipes. In addition, it protects the pipe from environmental corrosion and protects against abrasive wear and impacts.
Oceanus 142 has a high chemical resistance to a range of chemicals, including; MEK, Oil, Toluene, Gasoline, Ethyl Alcohol, and many others.
